Regent University Ghana Admission Requirements 2023/2024 | The Regent University College Ghana Admission Entry Requirements have been released for various programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year (Ghanaians & International Students).

The Authority of Regent University College of Science and Technology Ghana has released the Admission Entry Requirement for prospective candidates that seek admission into the institution for the 2023/2024 academic year.

These requirements are for various programmes offered at the institution, it serves as a guide in the application process. All interested applicants are to read through carefully making sure that they fulfill the requirements before putting in an application.

Regent University Ghana Admission Requirements 2023/2024.

Regent University Ghana Admission Requirements are as follows:

UNDERGRADUATE REQUIREMENTS

 1. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE), West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE)

The general requirements for admission of WASSCE, SSSCE and GBCE candidates to first degree programmes are three (3) credit passes in three core subjects and three (3) credit passes in three relevant elective subjects.

i. SSSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.

ii. WASSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.

iii. GBCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects

2. General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Candidates

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Science/Arts subject

  1. International Baccalaureate/Diploma with at least and average mark of 10/20 or its equivalent and six months English Language proficiency for applicants with English Language as a second language.

Mature Students’ Entry Requirement (MSER):

  • Applicants must be at least 25 years of age at the time of application
  • Applicant must also pass the Mature Students Entrance Examination which comprises: English Language, Mathematics and a paper on the candidate’s preferred area of study. Applicants must obtain at least 40% in all three subjects before they will be considered for admission.
  1. Post-Diploma Degree Candidates: Those with the following qualifications may be admitted to either level 200 or 300 depending on their abilities and preferences.
  • HND from an accredited Polytechnics/Technical Universities
  • Diploma from a accredited Institutions
  • Transfer from an accredited university
  • Professional certificate (e.g. ICA Ghana) level 2, Chartered Institute of Bankers, with at least three years post-qualification work experience etc.
  1. Foreign students: Applicants in this category may be considered for admission if they hold qualifications equivalent to those mentioned above. However, they must show evidence of proficiency in English.
  2. Others: Applicants with International City and Guilds and Vocational Qualifications, Private Secretaryship and Senior Stenographer Secretary are also acceptable. They may be placed in level 100 or 200 or 300 depending on the level of qualifications attained.

NB: All professional certificates and any other qualifications beyond the ones specified above must be referred to the National Accreditation Board for the establishment of their equivalencies, to determine their eligibility for admission

For admission into any of Regent’s Programmes, an applicant must do the following:

  1. Pick a form on campus or Download one set of the application form (download from here). (NB: Recommendation form/sheet must be printed twice).

  1. Submit a completed application form together with photocopies of relevant certificates and in the case of WASSCE results slip, add WAEC Scratch card for authentication. The University reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the results slips/transcript submitted.
  2. Arrange for an official result(s) slip or transcript and testimonial to be sent from the applicant’s last (or current) school directly to: The Admissions Office, P. O Box DS 1636, Dansoman-Accra, Ghana.

NB: It is the responsibility of the applicant to arrange for transcript(s) and/or transfer forms to be mailed and to ensure that they arrive promptly. Hand delivered transcript(s) must be brought ceiled.
Make copies of the completed forms and other relevant documents for your keep.

  • Pay the application fee of GH¢100.00 through a banker’s draft in the name of REGENT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
